well, today I had a great ride Mt. Lemmon from the comfort of my own garage. It was actually pretty cool and helped to break up the monotany of doing an indoor ride.
Anybody else use these videos? how is the Lake placid ride? I hear he is coming out with one where you ride the eagle man course.
I have used a couple of the Spinervals, including the 100 mile one, and I have got to tell you that I found the Mt. Lemon one to be a complete beating. Just grinding along and few gear changes as I recall. It just left me cold although the first time Troy said “car up” I looked around like an idiot even though I was in the comforts of the dungeon. If you have a CT I consider Spinervals close to being obsolete technology. The indoor ones are better at this point. Of course, that’s just my opinion - I could be wrong. Best.
The Lake Placid ride is challenging, especially the climb back into LP.
The first time you do it, it’s a little strange pumping high cadence in the small ring on the big downhill into Keene (and vice-versa climbing in the big ring).
The production quality is laughable, as is the inane voiceover chatter from Coach Troy.
( “nice camping here in the Adirondack region…beautiful camping…”)
