Spinergy Stealth PBO wheels

Is anyone out there using these and if so how do you like them? Any problems with these that anyone kows about? I have a chance to get my hands on some for a decent price and wanted any opinions before I lay out my $.

Thanks,

Richard

I don’t know about their aerodynamics…but I CAN say that they were the the most comfortable wheels I’ve ever ridden…all else being the same (tires and pressure, most importantly). They certainly weren’t a slow wheel. They were more comfortable than my Alps, H3s, or some 2003 Zipp 404s that I rode for a time.

I didn’t ride them long enough to comment on their durability, though my wife is still riding a pair of PBO spoked Xaero Lites (aluminum rim) that I put about 15,000 miles on. They are still rolling and looking as good as new. In fact, I NEVER had to true them at all.

I have the Tilliums. I think they’re the same, just a cosmetic change. Anyway, I’m very happy how they ride - smoooooth! They seem to be durable, too. I’ve slammed through my share of potholes and road debris (like magnets to me, I always get pulled into them!), the wheels have not suffered a bit.

The only problem I have is they’re not very true, alway been that way. It’s not enough to be a problem, they don’t rub my brakes, but I’d sure like them a little straighter. It seems they’re difficult to true up. I’ve been told a combo of the PBO spokes and the spoke count - fewer spokes, harder to true.

Can’t really tell if they’re faster. I have an old pair of Shimano RD-535s and, to be honest, they feel just as fast, but a much harsher ride.
