I was lucky enough to race against Spencer Smith in Muskoka Canada in 1994 (I think it was 94, the year after Muskoka was world champ course).

He beat me.

And so did Erin Baker.

I suspect them of drafting off each other (TTT style) to get that far ahead of me :slight_smile:

I wasn’t invited to that party…or it was over by the time I finished the race :frowning:

Best post tri party I did get to was the Taupo 1/2 IM about 5 years ago. The party was in a high school gym. Kieran Doe won that year I think. Prize? his weight in beer! He was foolish enough to go to the toilet, so his friends and others, liberated the beer!

AND, the RD put a large kiddies paddling pool in the middle of the gym floor, filled it with ice and over 220 dozen beers and RTD’s went through the pool in the course of the evening! Who says trigeeks can’t drink?! Very Very Very messing evening, with a '70s theme. I will never forget that night. I ended up dancing with a lovely young triathlete from Kamchatka of all places. She was hot and danced like… well she danced reeeeeeeeally great!. Thank god TriSpouse wasn’t there that night to get embarrassed by my retardedd antics! The parts I remember were very good :slight_smile:

I would have invited Spencer Smith along, but didn’t have his number in my phone :frowning: LOL
