Speedsuit comparison Blue Seventy V. 2XU

I am considering getting a speedsuit and am looking at either the Blue Seventy or the 2XU and was looking for some input on the differences, likes/dislikes, thoughts, etc.

Thanks -

Don

2XU Super Elite - One piece race suit, you can race in it (did half IM) and/or strip it off with break away zipper in T1 use it as speed suit
2XU Fusion - Similar to most new Yamamoto speedsuit minus the stiches. Since you can’t race in it you need it over a race gear so don’t know if welding vs. stiches makes any difference except very low drag. Wish they had fusion welding in tri shorts and clothing too.
Point Zero - great speed suit and about $95 cheaper than 2XU but if you opt for + model (which has full legs) it is $295. I am 5 9 and weight at 155 this made me fit in size small in Point Zero. Sizing is weird if you are in between sizes go with the smaller one just like wetsuit it feels tigher in dryland.

Any opinions how the desoto suit compares to these?

I believe the Desoto speedsuit is meant to be worn for the complete race not stripped off in T1. I don’t think Desoto has a pure speedsuit-strip-off-in-T1 kinda suit.

I never used one. but if you ar looking to wear OVER a regular race kit, I’d say go with Blue Seventy. Fusion is good to if you spare the extra cash. but if you are looking one-for-all kinda suit, get the super elite from 2XU, it has a thin pad so can be used as one piece, very breatable but slippery surface with side panels made out of Yamamoto.

Thanks for the Excellent responses, I am trying to decide which one would do me the best in races that are non-wetsuit legal, but which I’d strip off in T1. I’ll probably lean more towards the Blue Seventy for this. I’d like to try them out, I’ll see if my shop can get them both for me.

Thanks for the input.
