Speed sensor included?

Can anyone tell me if the Polar speed sensor is included with the power kit? On all the sites selling the thing, they talk about integrating cycling features with power, but then it doesn’t seem that the speed magnets are included? Do you have to buy the speed stuff for the extra $40?

Yes. The speed sensor is not included.

The speed sensor was included with my S710i, but the Power Kit probably doesn’t include it since they assume you got one with the watch.

Interesting. The speed sensor wans’t inlcuded with my S625X, but maybe that’s because it comes with a foot pod. Either way, I had to cough up the $40.

My S710i came with it, and I am pretty sure the S720 did also, and probably even the S510 since they are all the ‘cycling’ version. I guess the S625x is considered a ‘running’ HRM.

All the little extras can add up, speed/cadence sensor, or extra sensors for a 2nd bike, IR interface, etc, but overall, I have been really happy with mine.

the power kit doesn’t need the wireless speed sensor or the cadence sensor for that matter. The power kit uses a wired speed pick up on the rear wheel and a cadence sensor built into the main power unit.

I used it for a while and liked it. I may change to a power tap though, just want to try something different mainly. But although power seems cool I really don’t know what I’m doing with it…

Nice. That’s what I was suspecting. So it’s all built into the power unit? Very cool. Thanks,
