Speed Concept Frameset?

Any idea if this will be possible? Or will this be a decision made by your local dealer? Did they ever offer the TTX as a frameset only?

The Speed Concept will be available as a frame set, but only the 9.9 frame. This is per Trek’s usual frame set arrangements.

any idea on the pricing?

Might be $$$, I’m guessing it will include: the aerobars, rear storage, stem and brakes
.

$4499. Includes frame, fork, seat post, & bars.

Me me me! Frameset/ module much better option for me. Is it available now??

100% sure of the pricing? I was hoping for $4kish, but I guess thats close.

Also, what about timing with regards to purchasing only the frameset?

Do you know what the weight of frame, fork, seatpost, & bars? Cannot find it anywhere.

Thanks,
Rex

Just spoke to two Trek dealers here to ask about availability.

They say they are taking orders now for the whole bike and expect delivery in 57 to 75 (@#+&) days!

Since Trek (and the bike shops) make more money selling a whole bike, then we should expect the frames (alone) to be sold maybe next year?!

(They did offer me a $300 discount though but they will charge my Credit Card on Day 1).

Whoa! Thats like possibly more than two months out! I hate when companies release a product and dont have it available immediately. Why bother even releasing it at that point or at least clearly state an expected time of arrival!

Is your dealer a large Trek dealer? I’m thinking they might give precedence to the larger dealers?

I’d be interested in that $300 discount!

I was wondering if their were any ST members out there who ordered the SC on Saturday and if so what was the quoted days to arrival time. I know that as of yesterday the wait time jumped to 50-75 days but I am thinking that on Saturday it would have been less.

If anyone knows of anything I’d be interested in hearing.

I did a projectone order and got an email confirmation of the order but there is no indication of the time frame. Where do I find that?

Your local bike shop that actually places the order with Trek should have been quoted a time.

My dealer ordered one for me early on Saturday afternoon. When we started the Project One process, the 9.8 availability time was 14 days. By the time we finished and actually submitted the order form, we were quoted 22 days. So as of my order, my Speed Concept should be shipped June 10th. So to answer one poster’s question, they did have a batch available. They just sold them out very quickly apparently.

Yup they did and I was told an hour ago that it would take about 50 days. I ordered my ProjectOne bike on Sunday.

yeah, id have to agree with JohnIV above that Trek had a limited batch ready to go and the rest of the orders are going to be 50 days and above. Kinda stinks but hey I am sure it will be worth the wait. I can’t wait until we start seeing some of the ST’ers pictures of their new SC’s

The 50 to 60 day waiting period is not a problem if it matches your racing schedules - particularly an ironman race. However, if you get the bike after your ironman then it kind of defeats the purpose - specifically for me since I can only do an ironman a year and mine happens to be in July.

It’s a nice way for them to predict manufacturing needs and grabs market share earlier than the true release date.
