Has anyone seen a review on these? The Tarmac Expert sells new for $2800, carbon frame and fork and full 10 speed Ultegra. I can get it for $2100 because of a team discount. Seems too good to pass up.
SBR44, Test rode one last week, SWEET!!! rides good, climbs hills good, and I’m told by a couple of guys that have them that really like em. One dude just got one and then sold his Two S-works Alum. bikes so he could get another one to build up with a different groupo for training? They look kinda funky, kinda like Pee Wee’s bike with that square top tube, but they roll great.
PM mwbyrd if he doesn’t post a reply. He’s been riding a Tarmac since the beginning of the summer.
I have a Tarmac Pro. Been riding it all Summer. I really like it. To be honest I didn’t like it much when I first got it. For some reason it felt slow, but when I got the fit dialed in, it really got nice. It’s a super fast bike. i don’t really have any complaints. I’d have no problems recommending this bike to anyone.
It’s a great climbing bike too. Really iight. Good handeling. Never feel scared on the bike - and that’s down the South Grade of Palomar.
Heck, I’d like to pick up the new Tarmac SL or the E5 version if I win the lottery ![]()
i did a century a couple weeks ago with Pooks and I felt great at the end of the ride.
I’ll let you know by the end of November. I’m buying a Tarmac Pro. I sold my Ti bike to try it so i hope i like it.

Meanwhile I had ruptured saddle sores, a frozen lower back, and severe cramping in my quads, calves, chest, breast, neck, and head.
Nice…severe cramping in your head. Interesting…
I did learn one thing from your post - I’m never playing Poker with you!
