WTF!

Wow, what a bully, makes me sick. I’m done with them. I already posted my disappointment on their FB page and I hope others do as well.
Who cares…they’re just protecting the product line.
Makes me want to go out and but a new s-works…
Normally something like this might inspire me to not use a product. But I like my shiv way to much to buy something else. So ill say, that is fucked up, but that is it.
They actually have a bit of a case here, IMO…not saying they have handled it in the best manner,mor that they are “right”, but there are some merits to their points. A “reasonable person” could be confused between “Alize” and “Allez” and both names are on bikes.
seems to me that anyone confused between the 2 names doesn’t have a clue as to what they are buying.

Fixed.

I know, right, and they still have a problem because Nazare and Shiv are also nearly identical and also both bikes.
I bought a crux last year. Fantastic bike. I will never buy a specialized again. Their corporate philosophy is not congruent with my values
I understood the last one……thought the approach was a bit harsh. This one is ridiculous and unnecessary. Come on Specialized……I own two of your bikes, and a ridiculous amount of your clothing, shoes, helmets, etc etc. Don’t destroy your brand.
This is ridiculous legalese bullying by Specialized. Only in America can you get away with claiming Alize and Allez are competing words.
Specialized…I used to love your brand. I still love your products. But I’ll be damned if you’ll get another cent of my $ while you practice this corporate thuggery. Your customers are more sophisticated than you’re giving them credit for.
That is an excellent reason to look at other brands. Vote with your dollars.
Oops. Making friends those guys…
J
And he used to be such a nice guy when he sold Campy stuff out of his trailer in Cali. Neil Pryde sure mikes nice sailin stuff and bikes
We hope that you forgive us for this disruption.
So long ALIZE and allez, allez NAZARÉ!
Nice punch at the end
Did my small part and posted a note on their facebook page.
A note I made in my post - what do you think is going to hurt their business more - all the people that supposedly were accidentally buying NeilPryde Alize bikes when they meant to buy the Specialized Allez, or all the people that aren’t going to buy a Specialized because of their tactics?
Rolux and Tag Hoyer also have nothing to do with other watch brands with coincidentally similar names?
I can see both points of view
Alize sounds like Allez phonetically and they both happen to be top of the line road bikes - the UCI rules already make it hard for companies to create something and stand out as exclusive - and specialized spends a lot trying to do that . There is clearly only one Shiv - but imagine what if the market suddenly floods with TT bikes branded Shove, Shave, Chef , Shiff…
nice looking bikes though - still a kind of publicity

No, it doesn’t.

Yeah, I would pronounce those as:
Alize = Aleeze
Allez = Allay
