Yea I remember that whole deal. What a beauty of a story. She was offered huge $ to run supervised at other marathons and only had to break 3 hr to win. Never took them up. The other big event of that year was that our asshole president took the Olympic dream away from a whole generation of athletes setting up a tit for tat medal haul 4 years later in LA.
