I am probably stating the obvious but I am checking out the ToC on http://tracker.amgentourofcalifornia.com/ and watched as Cancellara is doing some serious mule-ing for his teammates. That guy has a monster engine.
Dude had to be loaded down with about a dozen water bottles (if not more) and food then blasts past a line of riders–seemingly effortlessly. Some folks I know who went to watch stage 2 in the hills used the word “uninterested” to describle Cancellara’s look as you watched him climb (as compared to Cav who was sporting the “barely hanging on” face). Like the road was flat to the rest of us. Amazing stuff.
It is cool that the P-R, Flanders winner is willing to work for the team. Awesome to watch.
