I’m coming out from Chicago to do Survival of The Shawangunks in September and haven’t been able to convince anyone to join me for the road trip. A friend from high school in the area has said she MIGHT be able to make it for the race to be my support person, but I was wondering if anyone else doing the race would have a support person who would also be willing to help me out if my friend can’t make it? As I understand it, it would only entail swapping my bike for running gear, cap, and goggles and then meeting up afterwards to get my bike back.

I know it’s still a bit early, but I want to make sure I am not stuck come race day.

The freaking Gunks are the bomb. Get some one to take you up High E. Tim (oh, and try not to drown doing that tri stuff).

I won’t be there, but when I did it seemed there were a few people at the cabro dinner looking for people to catch their bike and not having a hard time finding someone. So if you’re stuck, there is that as a last option. People are pretty nice around there.
