Should I ice for treatment? If no, what about after running/inflammation?
Yes. However, realize that there are more options available for reducing inflammation/pain than just ice. Generally, the more things you throw at plantar fasciitis concurrently, the more likely that you will obtain timely success.
Should I keep running with or without tape/orthodics?
This really depends on the severity and duration. A secondary concern is proximity to an “A” race. If severe, or long durationed, or relative distant from an “A” race, then non-impact cross-training is more recommended. If mild or relative recent onset or relative close to an “A” race, then if running is to be continued, then definitely with taping or orthoses.
Is Celebrex helpful?
It is a NSAID - another of the anti-inflammatory options tha I mention above. Athletes using NSAIDs should be aware of and read about the side effects of NSAIDs, especially the renal/kidney side effects.

You are going to get all sorts of advice on this issue and a lot of it is going to be conflicting. On icing, consider where you are trying to get the coldness to and what it has to go through (i.e., thick and tough skin) and you decide whether it makes sense or not. That said, I did it. Use a bucket and tilt it up and freeze away. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 2.

Tape your foot and use a boot at night and run. PF can last from a few weeks to 18 months and goes away often without reason. I give taping and the boot a 9 on the 10 point scale.

I prefer to ruin my liver with beer but it can’t hurt. On the other hand it is like trying to bail out a pool with a shot glass. I give it a 1.
I guess I will go on with icing, but could icing really shrink the Plantar fascia?
I know the traditional taping method for PF but does anyone know about kinesio taping and its effectiveness?
Lastly, boot or strassburg sock? I have the sock now and dont really think it helps.
-any recommendations on boots? price matters but getting better is more important. Thanks guys.

I’d be more worried about the potential heart problems associated with nsaids.
