My apologies up front. I know this sight/forum isnt about raising money but this is a good cause and inspiration. I have competed against this guy for a while now and he may not be the fastest, but he sure gives it his all and always has a story/makes you laugh. I will post this every few months until it happens(Ironman L’Ville). Please note, none of the money goes to him- but to CANCER research. Once again, sorry for post.
Don’t apologize… Good post, great cause, unbelievable courage! Any cancer is absolutely awful, but to be training for IM while battling GBM is close to a miracle. It doesn’t get any worse and he’s just got to keep believing! Duke is definitely the place to be and between faith, fight and their team of doctors, miracles happen.
I wish him the best, and hope for it as well. My brother-in-law was diagnosed with GBM, September 13, 2003. Fought it as hard as he could. Nice to see someone getting this terrible disease out in the public eyes.
