Just wondering what songs get you guys pumped / inspired before a big race or training session?
To kick it off i’m a big fan of:
Numb Encore - Jay Z
Loose Yourself - Eminem

This has been done a ton on this board, but I have never contributed:
On my “Get off yur ass” playlist is among others:
Live your life: TI
Till I collapse: Eminem
Boom: POD (this song really gets me going)
.
Wonderlust King - Gogol Bordello

or pretty much anything else they do.
If you haven’t heard of them they are essentially Borat doing crazy gypsy punk.
whoever put Girl Talk up on the last thread that was done on this topic…genuis, pure genius. That has become my go-to workout music/playlist.
Thank you.

YES. All Day (which can be downloaded for free on the interwebs) is 1 hour of mostly 90BPM awesomeness.
EDIT: here’s the link to download All Day by Girl Talk; to those that haven’t listened yet…your workouts just got 250% more hip. LINK
to the OP: I pulled together a playlist of submissions from STers a month ago: thread here.
Rolling Stones, “Don’t Stop”, from the 40 Licks CD.
It’s a happy little pop song of all things, butt gets me going before a race. slightly sexual in nature, but then a lot of stones songs are, and the “don’t stop” line helps me get through the tuff bits of long bike rides.
I have a playlist for hard intervals that would drive most folks insane here’s a couple from that list…
Burn - Nine Inch Nails
Inner Vision - System of a Down
Toxicity - System of a Down
Happy Feet - Paolo Conte
Crazy Bitch - Buckcherry
Who made Who - AC/DC
.
Lovin’ You by Minnie Riperton.
When she hits that high note I can produce a kilowatt of power.
Machinehead - Bush
Add it up - Violent Femmes
.
Interpol - “Narc”
Airborne Toxic Event - “Sometime around Midnight” and “Innocence”
Cracker - “Teen Angst”
Somehow hit all four while on shuffle play during a tempo workout Friday. Got my 10k PR out of it (which isn’t saying a whole lot).
Sabotage beastie boys
My way by Sid vicious
Bleed it out by linkin park
Killing I the name of by rage against the machine
Psycho killer live from talking heads
.
Angel of Death…Slayer.
Same stuff I listen to all the time- Lil wayne, young jeezy, wiz, rick ross, eminem, drake.
A couple of the black and yellow remixes are quite good. I think they have been on all my “trainer mix” cds this winter.

Amazing Grace by the Drop Kick Murphy’s.
As everyone walks out of church from my funeral (hopefully years from now.) this is the song I want playing.
Big EBM/Industrial fan…lately Alien Vampires have been killing it for me…
