Does someone know what Trek will present today !

I’ll be like a little girl at Christmas if it’s a 48 cm TTX with 650 wheels…
Something little on the way from Trek? ![]()
Hahahahaha!! I guess their title is a dead giveaway that Christmas ended for me in December like everyone else. Dang it!

Jodi
UUUUhhhh, I will guess that it has something to do with a guy name “Lance”!!!
Its the new Madone in full 2009 race trim.

if it is a new trek ttx, is it safe to say that you’re going to be spending some big money ?
No surprise. With the number of eyeballs that are back on Pro Cycling with Lance’s return, it’s a smart and logical move.
I remember talking to one of Treks biggest accounts in the U.S. a year or so after Armstrong had retired the first time and they told me that their was a concurrent and significant drop in Trek Road bike sales in the year after Armstrong stepped away from the sport.
If it were a week before the Tour it wouldn’t be a surprise, but the fact that they’re coming out with something big in January only 3 months after Lance announced his return makes me go ‘Hmmmm.’
.
Just because it is being released on short order doesnt mean that it hasnt been in development for years. There was some stuff on Lance’s bike several years ago developed by Trek that were never released. Maybe it will be one of those.
From a guy at Trek:
"Ha!! I can’t believe we are getting so much media from this… It’s basically an art show and studio opening party. I’m not sure there are really any cool bike things going on. Sorry if you’re disappointed… "
Information…or…misinformation…hmmmmmm
Only time will tell. Thanks for that post. Funny, it only makes it that much more mysterious.
It probably is nothing.
TREK: FROM OUT OF THE SNOW AND CORN RISETH ‘THING ONE’
January 23, 2009
Trek Bicycle today announced the opening of ‘Thing One,’ an all-new design center with a singular focus: do nothing but great work. Over 20 miles from the nearest Starbucks, the unassuming town of Waterloo, Wisconsin—yes, Waterloo, Wisconsin—is now home to what is arguably the world’s most comprehensive design studio for all things bicycles…
No new TT/tri bike announcement/presentation but Trek did get a lot of media milage out of their internal “Something-is-coming-on-January-23rd” memo.
