What a nutbar. Wish I could feel sympathy for her, but I can’t.
I feel for anyone who is being held by a bunch of crazies and might get beheaded. I mean, that’s no good.
But running out of money after you voluntarily go to a *BAD *place? She had to have an exit strategy. To not was negligent.

She joined the crazies after 9/11. Reminds me of the person who climbs into the zoo enclosure to pet a lion or a bear and gets mauled to death. Very sad and gruesome but what happened to your sense of reality?
Sad. Almost looks as if she’s trying to generate money for the bad guys. She’ll probably be one of the losers, despite her efforts to help them.
I, too, find it hard to generate much sympathy for her. She clearly reveled in the death of Americans based on the videos she posted on her website. While I don’t wish her ill, nor desire to see her come to the same end as Nicholas Berg, I can’t help but think that her own naivete is what brought her to this point. She obviously didn’t do her homework on the type of people she was ostensibly supporting.

I would question if she’s really trying to help them. She’s trying to advance their cause which to me isn’t quite the same. She seems the sort that claims to be a humanitarian but seldom does anything for humanity. Instead they pick sides and involve themselves in the conflict rather than taking benign action to ease the suffering caused by it. Their actions are political more than they are compassionate. That’s not to say they are evil, just misguided. Hence her insistence that she’s done nothing wrong. I don’t want her to suffer or be killed. If I could help her escape, I would risk my personal safety to do so. However, I’d see both of our heads chopped off before I would give a nickel to the murderers that allegedly kidnapped her.
Am I the only one that read this and wondered if this video was her exit strategy? As in…it’s fake…and she’s trying to raise money for either the taliban or to travel home. I know it’s awful to even suggest this, but it was the first thing that came to mind.
I thought the same thing (maybe raising money for the taliban). Who knows.

Hell, they may “release” her with a pocket nuke hidden in her snatch (“snuke”) and have her blow up Montreal.
That’s a definite possibility which is why I referred to her alleged kidnapping. She wasn’t very convincing and the knife on the wall was sort of weird. No sign of any captors, no deadline or even a clear threat. Very bizarre.
