Soloist Question

I was at an LBS today trying to look at a soloist and was told that for 2006, Cervelo will only produce a carbon fiber version. No steel or aluminum or whatever the 05s were made out of. Is this true? How much will it cost? And if the bike is such a hit in its current version, why keep upgrading it?

I agree, once you make something great you should leave it as it is and not try to improve on it. I’m gonna go hop on my unicycle and ride home now.

why keep upgrading it?

Because, those who buy these bikes already did. Give them the delusion that the next version will make them faster, sexier or more comfortable, so they buy a product they don’t need.

well, in poking fun at him, you seem to be ignoring the fact that the carbon version is almost twice as much, getting rid of the aluminum version means people without serious cash flow are shit outta luck when it comes to cervelo’s road bikes
.

LBS has not clue.

Many other great bikes around, not a big deal.
