SOLD! Pinarello Treviso Fixed Gear / Single Speed (Complete Minus Wheels)

SOLD!!!

For Sale: Pinarello Treviso Fixed Gear / Single Speed – $600 OBO

I built up a sweet bike, but it’s time to move on. My knees aren’t what they used to be, so I won’t be riding this black and white beauty any more.

*** Check out the paint and the lug work - look at the attention to detail - this is not a bike you’ll find every day. The frame is white, the lugs are black, and the lug “windows” are white. Let me know if you want more detailed photos!!! ***

Up for sale is a professionally restored Pinarello Treviso fixed gear / fixie / single speed bike. The bike is complete MINUS the wheelset (wheels, tires, tubes, and cog / lock ring). You get everything you see in the photos below. Throw some wheels on this set-up and you’re ready to hit the road.

The frame and all components are in excellent condition. The frame was purchased a little over a year ago and was lightly used. Based on some research, I dated the frame to 1984. It was in great condition except for the paint, so I had it painted. At that time I also had the rear spacing professionally cold set to 120mm. All the parts have no more than 500 miles use. Some parts (noted below) are brand new and have never been ridden. The only sign of wear worth mentioning is the cable rub on the top tube. If you leave the rear brake attached, you barely notice it. And if you remove the rear brake and cable, you can probably buff it away … and if not, glossy white paint is easy to find.

The frame size is officially 53. As a refernece, I’m 6’0" and this set-up fit fine. I suspect it would fit anyone in the 5’8" to 6’2" range, but that is subject to your own personal fit preferences. More precise measurements are:

Seat Tube Center-To-Center (CTC): 53cm (20.87")
Seat Tube Center-To-Top (CTT): 55cm (21.65")
Top TUbe Center-To-Center (CTC): 54cm (21.26")
Head Tube: 12.5cm (4.92")
Rear Spacing: 120mm
Wheel Size: The bike is meant for 700c wheels

Here’s a complete part list, including prices for all the components:

Again, the wheels I had on the bike (black Aerospokes - I can send a photo of the complete bike if anyone wants to see what it looked like built-up) are sold. The bikes comes WITHOUT wheels.

I ran this bike as a single speed with brakes front and rear. You could easily remove one or both brakes if you want to run this as a fixed gear set-up. Both brakes are included, so it’s up to you.

I spent a bunch of time and money building this bike up. I spent over $600 on the frame and restoration alone, and that doesn’t even take the other parts into consideration. Look at these parts - they’re all high-end and the total cost of the parts alone is in the neighborhood of $1400. So I’ve invested somewhere around $2000 on this package. I’m asking $600 OBO for this nearly complete bike.

My price assumes a cash sale in the San Diego area. I can also accept PayPal and ship the bike - please contact me for specifics on that if you’re interested. Also feel free to send me an email if you have any questions.

Thanks.

would you consider a trade?

I might be interested in trades. If you (or anyone else) has something to offer, shoot me a PM or an email and we’ll see what we can work out.

Thanks.

Brian

Nice bike. I would have gone with black grip but that is easy to change. Also: Might want to post stand over height, stem rise and length(if you didn’t) and the rise on the hadlebar.

Thanks for the comments. Here are the specs you asked about (the stem info was in the original post, but the other two items were not):

  • Stand-over heigh: I don’t have an exact number, but I’m 5’11" with a 31.5" inseam and I had a couple inches of clearance

  • Stem rise and length: 110mm length, 5 Degree Rise

  • Handlebar rise: 50mm rise, 500mm width, 7 degree sweep

Bike is still available. Feel free to send me questions, etc. via PM or email.

Thanks.

Brian

Quick bump. There has been quite a bit of interest, but the bike is still available. Feel free to send questions and / or offers via PM or email.

Thanks.

Someone please buy this. Open to offers …

Second to last bump before I kill this ad. I’ve received plenty of messages and actually accepted a few offers, but no one has followed through and bought the bike. So if you’re interested, let me know. You might be surprised what you could get it for …

Final bump …
