Hey all,
So I’m a pasty ass white guy, and a few months ago I found a solution in this top in that it’s long sleeve, and blocks 75% of UV rays. Wore it on 1 training ride/brick (ride on a trainer) as well as 1 race being a HIM in Indiana. That takes us up to today where I pulled the trigger on ordering DeSoto’s new long sleeve skin cooler which blocks 90% of the UV rays (remember the pasty ass white guy part?).
So no stains, worn twice, white as the driven snow, and is pretty dam comfortable by my account, and most importantly performed really well for me. The basic gist is this: the material does not wick away moisture, rather it channels your sweat to provide a cooling effect utilizing your own sweat. On top of that the 3 pockets running along the spine are amazing (used all 3 for ice but you can fit much more in them). Had no issues getting ice into each pocket at aid stations. Pretty awesome design and it worked well in practice (the HIM was hovering around 89f and I never felt hot…now you may say “thats not hot…you need to HTFU!” well it was to me coming from the 10 month winter we just came out of in Chicago).
It’s a size L, and for reference I’m 6 foot and some change, weigh in at 175. The fit is pretty good for me, skin tight (obviously the point of the design) but not uncomfortably so.

If you’d like pics feel free to let me know, but rest assured it’s in perfect condition. Hand washed twice in luke warm water, and using the athletic material detergent (cant recall the name but it’s the stuff that comes in the orange bottle that everyone and your mother use).
Asking $40, which is slightly more than 50% off from retail ($82). Let me know if you’re interested.
