Zipp Flashpoint FP60 (Real Designs) wheelset for sale. Clincher. 700c. Same depth as Zipp 404’s without dimples. Shimano. Made with super smooth hubs and the smooth (non-dimpled) rims. The rear rim was used for about 20 miles. I used the front for less than 100 miles total. No runout, no bumps. They still have the factory groves from lack of use. Perfect condition. Retails for $1100. Yours for $700 shipped in lower 48.

Sent you a personal message.

according to those pictures, your kid is for sale
.

How much for the kid and would you be willing to trade for one of mine?

Is your kid faster than a Zipp? If I wrapped him in a CH Aero wheelcover, would he be as fast as a ‘normal’ disk?

If you look closely, you can see that my son has dimples–which would make him quite aero for tunnel testing.

First buyer passed. Bump for price changes

I still only see the pic of your kid.

Bah, sorry about that. I didn’t realize that I had put them on “private.” They should be viewable now.
After the tantrum he gave me today, I’m reducing the price on him. Even with dimples, he can occasionally be unreliable.

Are the real design wheels the same as the Flashpoints? I don’t see any flashpoints in the pics.

Flashpoints are actually rebadged Real Designs wheels. Here’s a discussion with comparison to 404’s.
They are a very, very nice wheelset.

Bump for price change again. Someone must want this killer Real Designs wheelset.

No, they are NOT! Zipp makes the Flashpoints. Zipp makes the rims which are sold to Real Designs. That is the only connection.

The FP60’s are nice, and they are not remotely “rebadged Real Design wheels”.

Remember Google, and some basic research, is your friend:

Speed and quality no “pricepoint” wheel can match
If there’s one mantra that holds true with Flash-Point, it’s that limitations foster true creativity. In developing Flash-Point wheels we placed on our Zipp engineers, for the first time, the limitation of price. We told our crew to built the fastest, most durable wheel on the market but at the same price point other manufacturers were charging for their “opening price point” carbon wheels. The result is wheels with 6 distinct advantages over all the other wheels at the same price: USA-made Carbon Rim with stronger co-molded machined aluminum braking surface. Carbon performance, clincher convenience.VCLC vibration damping ComfortTour de France winning Aerodynamic Rim ShapePrecision Hubs with ABEC 5 sealed Japanese bearingsDT Aero Speed SpokesTrue Hand-Built quality

Thanks for pointing out the differences.

Bump for price change again.

Glad to help. For any potential buyers, they are really nice wheels. I had a set, then sold them to a teammate who also really likes them.

Last bump for final price change–then off to flea-bay if they don’t sell this week.
