Sold: 2004 BLACK Mavic Ksyrium SSC Cross Wheelset (700c, Clincher, Shimano)

I’m selling my 2004 Mavic Ksyrium cross (cyclocross) wheels. These are the sweet black Ksyriums. You know they’re strong, light, and aero … get them in black before they’re gone.
I bought these wheels new back in 2004 and used them for a bit on my road bike. Then they sat … and sat. When I first got my cross bike, I threw some cross tires on these wheels and took off. I eventually ended up with another set of wheels and these wheels sat once again. I just sold my cross bike and it only makes sense to sell these wheels. All told, these wheels have well under 1,000 miles on them (realistically around 600).
The wheels are in excellent shape. There are a few small scratches here and there, but nothing major and certainly nothing that affects performance. The wheels were rebuilt a few weeks ago and they’re running great. They’re straight and true and ready to go!
The wheels come with like-new Maxxis Larsen Mimo CX tires. These go for $35 and up each – that’s $70 worth of tires alone. The tires are mounted with new tubes. A SRAM OG-1070 (12-26) ten-speed cassette is also installed and included. This cassette is worth another $80 or so. Last, but certainly not least, I am including a new set of Mavic quick-release skewers.
I’m asking $375 OBO for the complete package. If you’re using them for cross, you’re all set. If you want them for the road, swap out the tires and you’re ready. You can always sell the cross tires if you don’t want them. These wheels regularly sell for $450 and up on eBay … and those “deals” don’t include skewers, tires, tubes, or a cassette. I think my price is pretty fair, even if you don’t use the cross tires.
