Softride: Powerwing vs roadwing?

I have a Softride roadwing team in size Med, which is slightly small for me. I’ve been browsing around for a size Large frame to swap out to. A friend has offered a real good deal on a complete powerwing in size Large. I’ve always liked the stable look of the rear mini-triagle in the roadwing, but there’s no real science involved, it’s just been my impression that it’s a better design. Any feedback from you softride owners out there? Pros and cons of one model vs. the other? I’m a big dude, 6’2" and over 260 right now, so frame strength is an issue.

At your size, the roadwing would seem like the better option because it’s stiffer. I know that Softride stopped making the Powerwing in 700c because the stays on the larger wheel were not stiff enough. I tested a used 700c powerwing before purchasing a roadwing and definitely found it to be “whippier” when out of the saddle or sprinting, and i’m 85 pounds lighter than you.
