I was running at Huntington Beach today and the surf was over head(big). If the swell holds till Sunday it will be a fun swim for LA and Pacific Shore tri’s . I know you fish out there will love it.
PS: LA swim was fun last year!

I think the latest reports have it being small for Sunday. I did the Oceanside Pier Swim on Monday, and that was about the biggest surf I’ve seen for a race. My wave, (#1), got off pretty easy, but wave 3 apparently took a beating. I hope your right and it is big Sunday, that will give me a few more minutes on the bike before the cyclists reel me in :).
The surf’s not very big here (manhattan beach) but I just got back from the LA expo at Venice and, while I didn’t go down to the water, dang is it windy today. I hope that doesn’t persist. The vendors at the expo were having to tie all their stuff down

It’s very windy down here. You should be done with your race before the wind come up. Hell with this west wind you might set a bike record.
