Long run (18-20miles) in the rain. Hopefully, it will just be a drizzle and not a constant downpour. Following the run, I have two reports and a presentation to finish for work, that is unless I don’t get called in for field work. I would also love to finally be able to mop my floors.
I did that long run you speak of yesterday
Today 3hrs. on the trainer.

A hr in the pool. Lunch with an old acquaintance. Run 10.6. 5hrs on the CT.
Waiting for basically a tornado to pass. Then:
AM: 32 mile ride/ 8 mile run brick
PM: 2k Swim
My day sounds pretty wimpy to everyone else’s. I woke up at 10am, will go to the grocery store here soon, and run 8 miles sometime before dinner. That’s it.
I “soaked up the miles” yesterday. 1:30 under clear skies, around 32deg F. It’s been a long winter.
Just got off a 1:00 trainer ride this morning. Off to soak up some grocery shopping, then off to soak up my Father in laws 85th birthday party.
Enjoy your run Alyie. Spring is coming.

All day tomorrow at the Rennaisance Festival with the family.
I spent yesterday at the regional One-Act Play Competition (high school competition). I saw 6 plays, 2 really good, 1 bad, 3 okay. Wonderful way to spend an afternoon/evening.
Anyway if you’re dressing up Rennaisance-ish I want pics ![]()
Eighty-fifth! Very cool.
Ran 11.5 mi with 3 x 3 mi @ 7:36, 7:30, 7:15 — then 55 min on the trainer. It is getting warm so maybe I will take the bike outside later.
Run wasn’t that bad actually. I don’t know why I was fretting over it.
5hrs on the CT.
Psychosis - in some form - but then again I’ve spent probably 11 hours on the treadmill this week just not all at once.
ALL PRAISE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME IS HERE!!!
The plan is for me to do my long ride. I got a nice hilly world class loop climb within 10 miles (Cardiac to Manka’s Corner) on the plate, mmm…yummy! But as you can tell, I am jazzed about daylight savings time. No more mid-week trainer! It’s all about hitting the roads after work and just putting in the hours in the saddle. This is my favorite part of the training season!
Anyway if you’re dressing up Rennaisance-ish I want pics ![]()
It is fortunate for all that I’m not wearing my kilt today. ![]()

I’m jealous of all you people training today. It’s gorgeous outside and I have a fever and bronchitis =( At least I got in a swim/bike/run yesterday when it was 76 and sunny!
Sorry to hear you’re ill, but you’re smart to rest.
Love your screen name!
Today I will be commencing my first 100-mile week. I hit 99 miles last Fall, but I didn’t realize it until a few days later so I wasn’t able to get in that extra mile.
Yesterday’s 16 miler (in beautiful Sedona at 6:25s and 60+ degree weather) put me at exactly 94.23 miles in 6 days. There will be a party on the Flagstaff trails today at 5.77 miles.
Definitely taking it easy today as I have been tired and sore all week.
*“A hr in the pool… Run 10.6. 5hrs on the CT.” *
That makes a total of ~7.5 hours or so? - Impressive day indeed - how often do you put in those kind of hours?
Uggggggggggh. 5 freakin’ hours?
I’m a firm believer (at least I keep saing it out loud) in quality over quantity.
This is supposed to be fun…
