Was entertaining hearing stage by stage commentary from Lance himself. He did appear to me very gracious when asked about how strong he appeared compared to everyone else, and I thought it was pretty cool how they were trying to keep Voeckler in the yellow as long as they could. I didn’t realize that it was T-Mobile’s attack that caused him to lose the jersey that day. IF you believe that story. Anyway, it was a nice story.

I find no reason to doubt that story. It makes perfect sense given what we actually saw on the coverage. Remember, no two reports on any situation will agree 100%. You will hear something different from the T-Mob camp, and the CSC camp. That doesn’t make any of them liars. They were all acting on their own understanding of the situation, given their daily goals. There is no central script of the race that teams follow or deviate from. Its like asking what happened at an accident scene. You’ll get as many different answers as you find witnesses. That doesn’t necessarily make any of them liars.
Hey BriGuy, while I’m careful to note your sig line, I’m not calling him a liar. (oh god no, not me too). I was simply stating, in fewer words, that there are several truths to every story. The truth as you were told in that interview was the truth as seen by Lance. Which truth you choose to believe is up to you entirely.

I did and thought it was very good. I really liked the part when Hinault gave him the the thumbs up for being an aggresive yellow jersey rider. Hinault woudn’t even let them win on the Champs when he wore yellow. I’m now a Lance fan again after that interview. Got to love Jan giving him a big German hug in the dope control wagon.
