I just got sucked into 10.5 on the idiot box, and they killed me off in the first 5 minutes. They have the after effects of the 1st quake flooding the Pike Place market, which is, like, 100 feet above sea level - so, I figure the barge my shop is in is history.
…and they killed the X-TREME!!! cyclist. Bummer, dude.

Terrible.
“OK. Fred Ward is talking. Zoom in. He’s done, zoom out. Cut to Beau Bridges. He’s talking. Zoom in. He’s done. Zoom out. We haven’t used a split screen in a while. Hey, it’s like Woodstock. Can we get a handheld in here? Don’t worry about what you’re aiming at. Someone in your frame is bound to speak … and when they do … Zoom way in!!!”
Terrible.
Amazing how a fissure can open up, move 100 miles an hour in a perfectly straight line, directly behind a train (with only 5 passenger cars)
If Irwing Allen weren’t dead, this would have killed him.
I watched it for about two minutes at the start. Loved (not) the way the earthquake chased the train exactly along the tracks and then stopped abruptly just as the train falls into the pit. This was the first scene so I assumed that the rest of the film would be just as corny.
You Californians are all doomed.
