So, who do I e-mail to find out about USAT Nationals?

Pop quiz of sorts, who (and what address) do I e-mail to find out if I can get into USAT Age-group Nationals?

Last year, I didn’t even try and enter, because I was told I was too young. Low and behold, two months later, the winner of the 19-and under age group gets his photo in Inside Triathlon. So… I’m slightly confused. I’ve also heard several other younger triathletes talk about getting into Nationals? What’s the deal? I’d like to e-mail the race director, but I can’t find anyway to contact him.
Anybody here know him? Or how to talk to contact him? (I’m sorry if I’m being sexist, I’m just assuming it’s a he.)

If I can get into Nationals this year, I’ll re-work my schedule, otherwise…I need to book a couple more races. I won’t be going to “Jr. Nationals” because 1. That reuqires an ITU bicycle, 2. I haven’t been training for it, and 3. It won’t be anywhere near driving distance (if I get to KC this year, I’ve even got a free place to stay.)

There is a link on the front page. Or email Jeff@usatriathlon.org

Good luck.

With the Gold membership ($200) you can buy your way in.

This bugs my co-worker to no end. He proudly announced he qualified for nationals (I think he was ~20 in his age group for the SW region). I told him my fat ass would see him there just to get a rise out of him. I then forwarded the email from USTA and the $200 “buy-in” to the championship.

There was a thread on this a while back.
