So where is the Floyd Landis verdict?

So what is the court’s verdict/ruling? Is WADA’s case so weak that they are scrambling for some end around to save face?

When the “trial/hearing” before the court for arbitration in sports for appealing Floyd’s “positive” test results took place, the ruling was supposed to be handed down on or about July 7th. This would have taken the spotlight away from the Tour de France race and I could understand further delaying the verdict until after that race. The scheduling of this hearing and the date for the verdict was “conveniently” scheduled to prevent Floyd from competing in the TdF this year even if he was the first cyclist ever cleared by this court.

But the TdF is now over.

So where is the verdict? When? In eight years so there is no possibility of Floyd (Floyd would be 40?) returning to competition even if he is cleared? In which case WADA wins even if the ruling was unfavorable for WADA and cleared Floyd.

As I understand the verdict has it be given within 10 days of the case being closed. After the arguements are made (done) both sides are allowed to reveiw the written transcript (done) and make comments (done). When the comments have been made WADA or CAS (not sure who) declares the case closed and the 10 day clock starts. WADA or CAS has not declared the case offically closed and apparently doesn’t have to until they feel like it, so the 10 day deadline doesn’t start.

I finished Positively False last night and was wondering the same thing. I don’t know what printing I have but there is an epilogue in the back talking about the whole LeMond fiasco and the arbitration.

If they have had enough time since the trial to write / update the book and get it to my local library , I’d think they could have made a decision by now.

C’mon!
