Feliz Navidad to all! I agree with Dev’s statement about our health and ability to participate in this sport. I recall a thread once that inquired about our biggest achievement in this sport and based on what Dev was saying I’d have to say that being able to race now in 4 different age groups is it for me.
Blessings to all and I hope we appreciate what we’ve been given. Thanks also to all the posters that allow me to waste way too much time on this forum. I’ve learned alot, laughed much more, and this year I even visited Xantusia and met other ST’ers…and their dogs!
Ahahahah, my 7 yr old was up from 300 to 430 (Dad, I’m gonna die!!!). Dev, where are you swimming this holiday season GRC? I cant find a pool open? Shirley’s Bay?
I’ve got to stop buying my 5yo son Lego Star Wars sets. Santa brought the “Destroyer” and after 4 hours of assembling and super glueing, I’m half done. Geez. All this for something that will have pieces lost and/or broken by the end of the week.
Does this qualify me for “Dad of the Year” or “Moron of the Year”? Or both?
Santa brought the “Destroyer” and after 4 hours of assembling and super glueing, I’m half done.
My kids are both Star Wars and Lego fans. So naturally we have a lot of those sets. The Star Destroyer was pretty cool. The problem was once it was done it was too big to play with and wasn’t very durable.
I grew up with Legos as my favorite toy. I can remember as a lad trying for endless hours to make the Millenium Falcon or an X-Wing or a Tie Fighter out of the legos I had. It seemed so impossible, but some of my creations (if you had a really good imagination) resembled the real deal. They make it so easy for the kids these days;>)
Super Glue? Doesn’t that defeat the whole point of legos? i.e. pulling them apart and making something new next week? You should see the spaceships my son has made with his own imagination - many out of Star Wars lego pieces and parts.
Totally agree with this thread though. Even though my santa was EXTREMELY nice to me, I was grinning ear to ear before I even opened the stuff. Watching the boys bounce off the walls is priceless.
There is ~$2500 worth of Star Wars and Harry Potter Lego that my son has collected over the past 6 years since he was age 4. The entire guest room is devoted to his various lego set ups and every time we have guests over, we have to move everything out.
…as for the Cowboys vs Eagles, let me just say that Jeff Garcia rocks!
