Spotty cell service (mostly none) the last few days…
I guarantee you that it’s bigger, colder and heavier where I am than in Nica.
Just surfed off a giant rock a 1/2 mile out. Paddled out on a 7’6 and realized right away it wasn’t enough. Borrowed a 9’0 quad gun (from the guy I gave my broken board to) and surfed it solo for a couple hours. The three other surfers I’ve seen here said they don’t think anyone has surged that reef before. There’s a house right at the paddle out spot for sale and we might buy it.
Every surfer in town knew about my broken board, where it happened, who I am and where I’m from within 12 hours. Weird.
This place is unreal.

Couple times this summer. He’s not really into it yet. I’m not pushing him (well a little).
I’m the only one surfing up here. It’s pretty heavy. Cold, grey (except the sun came out today), unforgiving.
