This woman with a stroller tking on a phone loudly decides to sit at my table. With hundred of empty ones around she chose mine. I could t help but here her conversation. She is unemployed with child the conversation when she sat down revolved around her purse being stolen and the police not believing her. The. It reminded her of the time they came to her house because they wanted to talk to her 8 year old daughter who
Somebody said did something. She said this was still an issue so she is going to need here friend (on the phone) to tell the police her daughter was there. Eventhough she wasn’t. She was the. Playing lawyer about the lawsuit she could have since they came to the wrong address and whatever. The whole time cursing every other word.
Reminds me of a line from seven where they are reading Mr X’s journals. In it he said. “Today I was on the subway. A man started making small talk, I got nauseous so I threw up on him. I started laughing”. That about sums up how I felt sitting next to this trashy person. Im still nauseous. Maybe if I vomited on her I would have felt better.
Do you look like you have $$$ that she could get from you with a sob story? Every time I hear somebody talk about losing a wallet I immediately head for the exit.

Yeah, you have to really wonder if there was even anyone on the other end. I’ve come across that a couple times, mostly guys begging for gas money. One in particular was loudly talking to family, as his trying to act sad wife and kid look on, about how they didn’t have gas to get to a funeral in Louisville. Except he is in the Bob Evans parking lot, not the gas station parking lot. Maybe you shouldn’t have stopped for Bob Evans. And who the hell sets off from Cleveland, bound for Kentucky, without enough gas to get past Columbus?
Exactly. There was a guy up at our Safeway every freaking weekend with a sign asking for gas money… It drives me freaking crazy the extent people will go to not to work. And the worst is the mother with a little kid in her arms that hits you up just as you are putting your groceries into your car.
I’m at the mall on business so I just grabbed a quick bite. I was already halfway done when this person sat next to me. I just started eating faster.
Since I’m on a business trip and in the location of my business having meetings with mall management all week, I have to behave and pretend I’m not disgusted by such people and react as I normally would.
Can’t passive aggressively make the person make a scene and make a fool of herself for my enjoyment.
At least if I vomited on her I would have an excuse.

Try hardening up on this type of folks. I used to see a woman who looked like she had the flesh eating bacteria on her face (only it was her meth addiction) constantly asking for money for the kids. I once asked where her kids were because she had been out begging for a long time. She rolled her eyes and walked away. In the same area were two Romany chicks walking around with a gas can begging for money. When I asked where their car was, they too, walked away. This game was to be played years ago when the economy was booming and people did not care to “help” another but it got old when everyone and their mother was out fighting for a corner to stand on.
