Which one (or two) would it be? Looking for something more entertaining than .erg mode on my CT this winter. Overall goal (like everyone else on ST) is to raise my FTP.
I know Paul has previously recommended the 4 man team time trial as a popular allrounder choice.
I’m quite happy using the long endurance intervals or the threshold intervals videos (I think it’s the threshold one that has the 2x20 type workouts - this one is my fav).
Note 4MTTT is older format (4:3 rather than 16:9) and lower quality than the HD ones but still more than watchable.
current fave is Autumn Colors tempo HD.
It ISN’T steady tempo, but rolling and challenging with it’s hard-easy-hard transitions. Scenery is awesome with fall colors, and traffic free back-woods roads, on cross bikes. It ISN’T suitable to guys who want to just ride steadily.
For that ‘flavor’, with similar beautiful colors, Mt Tremblant Tri would do, at least the first 5/8 are excruciatingly steady. I often wonder why people want that so much, but I guess it suits the tri-thing well. The last 3/8 are like mountain biking, up down, on off. Very hard, but way more fun.
Finally, for shear awesomeness of hard ride, hard unrelenting effort (suitable for tri guys too) and over the top beautiful shots: Luz Ardiden HD.
