Apparently I misunderstood this event. I thought it was a race or time trial. I understand now it was more of a group ride. the feedback we got from the father was she finished with the lead group in about an hour for what that is worth. (And, she did it on regular cranks.) Did anyone see this? Was it a pretty exceptional ride for a 12 yo female? Any other comments.
well since the ride has been posted for about 2 months now as being on Sunday, and we even updated you yesterday that the ride was Sunday, not Satruday, I’d say her fathers words aren’t worth anything at this point on here. We didn’t see it, it didn’t happen. What lead group? In about an hour? so is that 60 minutes, 65 minutes, 75 minutes. Everyone’s idea of “about an hour” is pretty open. It’s not rocket science, she did a time and if it was good, it would be exact. Tell her to show up at the right time for the right ride next time.

Sorry I missed the update, when I asked where it cold be found all I was told was it was here. I couldn’t find it. Sorry I am so stupid. When we were told she was doing Palomar this weekend I assumed it was the same thing everyone else was doing. So be it.
Next race she is going to (I am told) is Valley of the Sun. Check her out there if you are interested.
whoa… who said that racing on PC’s was a good idea? intuitively, it seems to me to be a great idea to train on them, but i can’t imagine that anyone would think that over a given distance, it is faster to use PCs than to use traditional cranks.
There was another group ride up Palomar yesterday that I know of. There is a training camp in San Diego run by San Diego X Training. They were doing Palomar on Saturday I think, and Montezuma on Sunday.
Frank,
Im actually interested, so could you find out what race she did and what her time was?
Don’t think it was a race but I will see what I can find out. We were told she will be doing Valley of the Sun. So may have to wait for that race for any race performance numbers about her. There is one number yesterday though you might find useful regarding your interest (and the usual will find irritating). That number is 1. The fellow who finished 1 in last year’s Paris-Roubaix confirmed he wants to get on them “to help him get to the next level”. Didn’t know there was another level. Shows you how much I know.
