Ok people here is my idea.

We need a person or a group of persons to agree to be the house. We all send in $10 as our blind. Since I am picking up some feelings that I am about pull the biggest hiest in history with this, the main pool is to go to an agreeded upon charity with the winner only getting bragging rights. Any outside betting will be a private affair and the money handled as agreeded upon by the private parties. I want the outside betting to be talked about though because that would be hella fun.

We will have two groups, men and women. The doctors on here can help with how to handicap the betting. Some of us are shooting for big numbers and others for smaller numbers so if a handicap is not possible the main pool will be for those looking to lose thirty pounds. Any weight lose beyond thirty will be a bonus.

We can either do a race to 30 pounds off (women will have a diffrent number) or set a time period and at the end see who lost the most.

I am stumped on proving the lose. Seeing as no one is going to make any cash on this I think the honors system might, kinda, work if not we need to have some kinda weigh in system where the horses will be weighed by Slowtwitchers not in the running. Photo evidence is also possible. Photo from the side, front and back will show the changes and a newspaper can be used to prove the date.

All those in the action will from now on be called “horses” those who choose to team up with a horse will be called “riders”. If a team is formed the team is to be named and updates and banter posted for the important fun factor.

Alright who has ideas?

I’m just chomping at the bit to put down some private bets…

Actually my first thought was that there are many ways to lose 30 lbs, some honorable, some not. These types of challenges may invite dishonorable weight loss practices… but then my second thought was that sometimes people need a kick in the pants, and that’s exactly what this challenge is. I give you my blessing.

But I say $10 is too inconsequential - better make it $300 and slug it out like the real heavy weights that you are.

$10 is the most I can swing. Should we do a photo thing instead. Post our befores and afters and have a vote saying the winner?

I am almost twice the man you are. I don’t think you’re eligible to be a horse in this contest.
