In the spirit of the Slowtwitch Bracket Challenge I’m curious if anyone’s interested in Slowtwitch Bowl Pick 'em. If you are post your Bowl picks by Dec 18 (the first bowl is the 19th). As the tiebreaker predict the total # of points in the national title game. I’ll try to see if I can come up with some sort of cheesy prize (other than ST bragging rights of course).

Ohio State close win. Michigan, Oklahoma, LSU all win big. Louisville close. Arkansas best team not in BCS. ND most over-rated BCS team. Yes, they need a playoof. Unbeaten Auburn left-out in 04 as biggest travesty. Pete Carrol, Best Coach.
Interesting poll, my off the cuff preditions agree with you with exception of Michigan USC, I like USC close. Also as an Aggie, much as I hate to admit it, I think Stoops is the best coach, dealing with all the personell losses his team has gone through it’s amazing they’ve done as well as they have.

Oklahoma loses what is very likely the best running back in the nation and replaces with someone that basically performs just as well.

USC loses Leinert, Bush, White, and a host of others … and STILL comes back 9-2 … after playing for the national championship the year after winning it. How many star players would they have to lose to have a bad season? Aslo, USC needs to get rid of the grey facemask and make it yellow-orange or whatever the hell their secondary color is. The grey facemask bothers me. I have no idea why. Color me sassy.
I could go with with Stoops … amazing what he does without a high-quality quarterback. With their running and defense, imagine how they’d do with a great college QB? I can root for Oklahoma and Stoops. MOF, we are looking at Tulsa as a near-future residence possibility.

Nights like tonight (cold, snow everywhere) saw us playing quite a bit of Lego Star Wars 2. We’ve (myself and my 5yo son) have enjoyed it quite a bit.
You’d also be surprised how good a 5yo can be at NCAA 07 (seriously). They pick up on everything so quickly … of course, we have to play in “mascot mode”.
