Hopefully Dan will jump in here but I was looking at the photos of the saddle on the Plasma that was jammed all the way forward. I have always wondered if that caused an undue amount of stress on a saddle. Are most saddles designed to be hung cantilever style from a post? Seems like there would be greater flexion and torsional stress on the rails if saddle is slid all the way fore or aft. Has anyone asked a saddle manufacturer about this? I know a guy who snapped a certain tri saddle when his was set up like this but have no idea if this was proximate cause or not.
