What is that extension on his integrated visiontechs? I am assuming it is a new product as I didn’t think you could change the extensions on the VT integrated bar.
Sorry but what context are you referring? Are you wanting longer aero-extensions? It is my understanding that the extensions on all current VisionTech aerobars can be shortened with the approriate tools but none that I am aware of can be lengthened.
A while ago (over a year?) Slowman wrote an article about customizing his own aerobar extensions. He called them W bends in reference to the general shape. I think that the bars you see in that picture might be of his own making but I’m not 100% sure. Do a search for past articles on the main site or maybe Slowman will chime in.
These?

yeah, those. I guess that he probably created them with a sleeve?
Here’s the link to the article that Dan wrote last year:

Looks a bit like the Blackwell extensions…
Read a bit of the article and here is the scoop on those extensions:
Herbert Krabel, ABG’s creative director (I’ve decided to start calling him this instead of marketing manager because he routinely comes up with bright ideas not usually under his purview) had the boys in the back make up a few sets of titanium S bend extensions. I then cut up a set of Profile jammers so as to get me the little kick I wanted at the extension terminus. I found a Cervelo carbon seat post that had just the perfect inside diameter, and made myself a pair of sleeves. I super-glued everything together and voila, W-bends. Worked like a charm.
My guess is that Dan had a hand in developing the Blackwell Wrist Relief model along with John Cobb and Dave Bunce since there are a lot of similarities between them. This is totally unsubstantiated though.
