As far as funny bikes goes the advantages are better shifting/chainline due to longer chainstays, ability to get higher gearing, nominally lower rolling resistance, better selection of tires for the rear.
Two spares are a problem but new TUFO tires with sealeant is practically a bombproof setup.
The main application I see is a small/medium sized person who wants to ride in a superlow Bjorn position. You could get there other ways, but if you have a line on a Hooker elite or GT funny bike (still among the most aero out there) its worth a try.

he’s an english philosopher. all about positivism etc. wanted all laws to be written down, codified etc if i remember correctly. 1750s-1800s???

My most favorite Englishman is Jethro Tull. You’d be surprised how many people never knew that that band took their name from a guy who revolutionized farming.

Evidently, when the roll is called for a vote, and the Bentham name is called, the response is ‘Present, but not voting’. Classic.

Why serialization: Maybe I give too much credit, but let’s say I am the Slowman, and I want to accomplish a certain end with another person. What better way to do it than post half the story, and let the other half hang over that person’s head until they do what I want them to, with them knowing that I can finish the story anyway I want–making them look good, bad, or neutral. A Sword of Damocles.
Maybe I am too Machiavellian. Maybe I am even more evil than the Slowman.
