Slowman must change his name!

Slowman - did you really run a 32:48 10k? That’s fast. Did you do it at the Lake Tahoe Relay? Maybe all that shoveling for the Empfitheater is good cross-training, or maybe it’s the mountain workouts.

Is an IM in your future? I suppose there would be less time for that if you won the election.

Hey, I already suggested The Great, All Knowing, All Seeing Oz! Now, not only does he know all, it appears he runs past all.

do not mock him, or he will smite you down from on high! unless your name is Tibbs

Is it just me, or does The Oracle take the fun out of some of these posts?

C’mon, TO! Let us have our fun deifying Dan and Tom D. and Tibbsy. If you want to be a killjoy, take your ball and go home.

does The Oracle take the fun out of some of these posts?

Are you saying that The Oracle is the latest incarnation of RVW?

Hey, I already suggested The Great, All Knowing, All Seeing Oz!
Except that Slowman isn’t all knowing or all seeing.

Dude, relax already. It’s all in fun!

Ever the smartass, eh Rip?

Sorry. Forgot about that.

My apologies to smartass.

Yup, it NotAPCerChameleonRVW…

when you demonstrate godlike abilities, we wil deify you

people in this category"

Slowman (just because -also it’s his website), Tibbs (if you don’t know why, don’t ask), Hid (for all things cyber related), Tom D (all things bike related), Bunnyman (carbon - need I say more?), Gerard (bike pornmeister), Record10Ti (for airing it out), and the Athena Most High, Iron Clm.

sorry Herbert, you’re still a minor god, although the TV appearance did elevate you!

Ze Gopha is god to all small and furry little animals, Cerveloguy is the anti god of disks.

You never know where these threads will go once they’re out there.

I originally posted this as a complement to Slowman, and to get his post-race analysis of his fine effort.

Slowman - if you’re out there - congrats. You’ve come a long way since “skinny jeans”.

" Now, not only does he know all, it appears he runs past all."

hey, I did, too.

“did you really run a 32:48 10k?”

a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. PRs are 4:19 mile (HS), 16:00 5k, 26:00 8k, 32:48 10k, 1:15:45 half-marathon. but, i’m 47, those PRs happened between the ages of 16 and 25.

last year: 38:59 at tri nationals in shreveport, 1:26 half, 1:27 half, 37-something in a stand-alone 10k, 17:43 at the carlsbad 5000. nowhere near the PRs.

well, keep in mind that you’re still not the All Seeing, All Knowing, All Jogging Oz!!! you’re still faster than me and I’m younger

“1:15:45 half-marathon”

That must have been one of the best races of your life.

His half time is soft compared to his 5K and 10K times…should be more like 1:13-14 if you are running 16 flat and 32:48.

The mile and 10K times are the ones that stand out.

You’re right.

I was looking at the wrong column in my minutes/mile chart.

Dan:

I hope I’m as slow as you when I hit 47.

Hostile takeover?

There is something decidely off-kilter about someone who refers to themselves in first-person plural.
