Skinsuit - Roka or Huub - thoughts?

.

I’m interested too… both have good Cyber Monday deals going. I’m leaning Roka, but not based on anything factual

I’d go neither, personally. B70 PZ4TX. They’ve been on the leading edge of swim technology for…ever.

I got to test both of them, and they are both great suits. Probably too hard to do online, but the one that fits tightest and the best price would be the way to go, fit being first, price second.

I’d go Roka over Huub for the simple fact TheRealStarky has a hate on for them and a love-on for Huub.

neither…Kiwami amphibian swims really fast, you use it for the whole race ($$$$ savings) and while others spend seconds getting it off, you are riding away…

Owen, it’s amazing how often you write about me. Between you and Dusty Nabor, you’re responsible for at least a mention per day somewhere on the web. Thank you so much for continuing to generate buzz for me and my brand. I’m #blessed.

ROKA all day long. I have had my fastest swims ever in the Viper. It fits tight but is not uncomfortable. I have never had any rubbing or chaffing. The suit is super easy to get off quickly. Not to mention it is the coolest looking suit on the market.

Please do give us a shot. We’ve got a 30 day no-hassle return policy, so you are welcome to try out our suits in the water, where a fit assessment is most accurate. You can even race in them if you want and still return within the 30 day window.

Best,
Rob

Haha!!

I haven’t written anything in like a month…and you still mentioned me, so by your own logic, you are now obsessed with me…

I knew I’d achieve something in life.

Still hate you

Since you joined the discussion, Dusty, I’ll take a moment to call you out on a blatant lie you’ve been telling. I may be an asshole, but I never lie. You, on the other hand, are a liar.

On Steve Fleck’s facebook page you made the following statement about me:
“It’s not a joke when he costs people real money with his destructive campaigns. If he doesn’t like something you’ve done, he’ll start a campaign to boycott. Ask Roka who quickly shut him down with their legal team. That costs money and time. That’s not a joke. The best thing to do with someone like that is unfollow, block and ignore. If he stuck to his stupid schtick like beer miles and dating games, it would be fine. But when he deliberately tries to monetarily hurt good people and good companies, he crosses that line with me. Ymmv”

I never had any interaction with Roka’s legal team. You are full of shit and every statememt underlined above is an outright lie. Because you lied and I can prove it, these remarks could fall under libel and/or defamatiuon if I could prove damage. Becaue most people probably recognize you for the uptight, insecure douchebag that you are, that would be really really difficult for me to prove. My legal team will not be in contact, but here’s a pro tip: stop blatantly lying and you’ll never have to deal with lawyers. You can give opinion and make satirical statements. However, accusing me of deliberately trying to hurt people and companies could be slander. Please stop trying to defame me. You should continue to spend all of your money on expensive Pinots and exotic sports cars, in order to keep your social media image in tact.Give your facebook followers what the expect: triathlon, triathlon, more triathlon, wine, and expensive cars that you just purchased. Wasting money on lawyers is stupid, even for really really rich guys like you.

P.S. After getting on your soapbox for months in order to protect Roka and I guess W from my satire, I find it rich in irony that you would launch an attack campaign against the Training Mask. Are you trying to monetarily hurt good people? Something to consider…

P.P.S. for anyone who gives a shit, I’m Ben Hobbs from Austin, TX. My iTunes podcast page reflects this. For the past 6 months, Dusty’s girlfriend and friends have enjoyed publishing my name whenever the opportunity presented itself. It’s no longer a weapon. GFY.

This is the definition of Internet OWNAGE. Awesome post!

That’s a fact!

Also, for the record, I highly recommend Huub, because their founder is the most rad fella in the entire triathlon industry. Roka gave out free coffee mugs at Kona. Huub gave you the Kona Beer Mile. 'Nuff said.

Also, Huub USA offers a similar 28 day return policy and if you message me, I’ll give you a promo code for 20% off.

Having gotten my snark out in the thread:

I really don’t think you can go wrong with the SKN-1 from Huub. Feel like it and the blueseventy line-up are really neck and neck in terms of quality. Give 'em a try.

I have the Roka Viper Pro and can’t imagine anything better. Roka has treated me very well on the customer service front.

That said, I’ve read nothing but good things about Huub and suspect you can’t go wrong with either of these choices. Personal fit is probably the differentiator.

Dug up this thread back from when I was shopping:

Wow…

Drop The Mic

To the original poster…

I would go with the best fit. If you have to order online, get someone to measure you. Also, are you in race shape now? I think this is the worst time to get fitted for something that is this tight if you have put on your winter weight. Maybe just a Northern Hemisphere issue right now?

Good luck!
