I am trying to avoid the pain in the ass of changing my skewer every time I ride the trainer (KK road machine). The skewer on my tarmac wont fit into even the spare knob on the trainer so I have the skewer on there that came with the trainer. Question is, if I leave that one on there for road rides, will that matter? I mean I know it will look a little stupid, but I just want to save time…

why would it look stupid? a skewer is a skewer.
that aside, though, the KK skewer doesn’t have very much clamping power, so i’d be a little nervous about actually using it on the road.
Well if its clamped tight, its clamped tight, right?
yes. i’m just saying that for some reason i find it hard to get the KK skewer very tight.
No problem using the trainer skewer. It’s just heavy, that’s all.
