Am I a bad person for laughing when I figured out what that was?
Hope you’re okay though.

Actually…I barely felt it and didn’t even slow down. In fact, at first I wasn’t sure if it had actually gotten caught up.
Hmmm…I guess there are advantages besides aerodynamics to running bladed, low spoke count wheels and having relatively sharp trailing edges on my fork ![]()
Luckily for the rabbit as well, I don’t think he felt it much either. Clean decapitation…
Awesome…
go back and get the tail - attach to your seat. The luck will far outweigh the small aero penalty ![]()
You realise who you are talking to?
the only thing that outweighs an aero penalty is certain death
luck cannot be chung’ed

Yup - which is why I recommended it since he surely would never consider it ![]()
Nice work!
Happened to me 4-5 years ago on a group ride. Team bought me a lucky rabbit’s foot to hang from my seat rails the rest of the season…

do your socks say what i think they say?

That depends…are those my socks? …and what do you think they say? ![]()

hmmm. assuming you have a standard arm length and it’s you taking the photo, i’ll say it’s someone else who’s wearing the “super fuck” socks? ![]()

I didn’t take the pic…so, yes they are my socks

i like 'em. much more tasteful than what i suggested. it would take supreme confidence to wear the ‘SF’ socks!
Whoa. That’s amazing! I’m glad you didn’t go down- you must have had a fair head of steam behind you. Damn. I bet he never knew what hit him.
If rabbits talk just imagine his buddies: “No, I am not kidding! It took his head right off and kept on going!”
Lucky the fork held up…sometimes carbon isn’t so good with impacts: http://cloudbaseimaging.blogspot.com/2008/06/squirrels-and-carbon-forks-dont-mix.html

Did that with my hand a few years ago. Yeah, I know, candidate for an honorable mention Darwin award. My luck was better than the rabbit’s. I still have all my fingers, but the fork snapped. Definitely won’t do that again!

Actually…we were only going about 20 mph…we were riding on a bike path conversing. I think the “luck” of the situation was that the part caught up was the neck and not the main body of the rabbit.

Yeah…I had seen pics like that in the past…which is partly why I was somewhat surprised after I realized what exactly had happened. Except for the obvious “messiness”, it actually didn’t cause me to even slow down much. Go figure.
