Sick before Alcatraz

I am doing Alcatraz in less than 2 weeks. This past weekend I had a nasty sore throat and saw the MD on Monday who said it might have been strep throat and is definitely a sinus infection. Was put on antibiotics. Did a lite swim 1200 yards easy today. My question for anyone is how hard should you push being sick and this close to a race? I was planning on cutting my hours this week and some more next week, but also wanted to bump up the intensity some on the shorter workouts. Will getting this stressed and heated up be a problem? I am going to bed earlier. I just want to be ready to have a great race at Alcatraz. Any thoughts?
