Show us your Scott Plasma!

Any year model welcome.

Also, stating weight is a bonus  since most other tri bikes are sooooo heavy!

All I know it that it’s lighter than my GT was…

Here is the Plasma again, Since this picture was taken I have changed to the KMC gold chain as well as changing the saddle to the Selle Italia SLR (due to the fact that my Fizik Arione Tri was damaged in a crash last year). The bike currently tips the scales at 16.4 pounds.http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3315/3203599491_91c3b96860.jpg?v=0

This photo is identical to my bike… except I don’t have HED wheels…
You guys have taste!
I’m excited about taking my bike out for its maiden voyage (trainer miles only thus far).

It’s really incredible that my LTD weighs less than 16 lbs!

I currently run an Xlab wing with dual cages on the rear… and a really bright flashing red light that I jimmy rigged onto the wing (for safety).

My longest race is 70.3 so I expect to remove the rear wing/cages for the race… I used the wing for a race last year and I didn’t like the way it slowed my cadence while trying to reach behind for bottles. Not a deal breaker on training rides, of course. However, the bike is my best leg, so I have to make up as much time as possible.

Thanks to all posters… great to see your setups! Beautiful bikes!!!

I’ll add a pic of my bike ASAP!

Sweet! Here’s mine! Sorry about the small chain ring…

swimshady, do you run tape around your wheelbuilder cover? I quit using mine last year since it felt like it was catching more air than it was cutting through. I then put tape around it and then it felt like a brick and decided I would just stick to running a straight 808 out back.

I know that you were asking swinshady, but I might be able to give you my thoughts as well. I run the same wheel cover on my Mavic training wheel and I run a good grade of 3M electical tape around the perimiter and it really works great. I have to replace the tape every spring becuase the take shrinks a little, but other then that I really think it is the best way to go to hold the cover on. I just found a picture of my wheel with the tape on it if it helps.

I was thinking the same thing and I was also thinking that the Profile Aero bottle mounted on the down tube needs to be moved onto the seat tube and sucked down as close to the BB as possible.

How do you get the tape to trace the circle so smoothly? Is it all one piece?

Well, the 3M brand of tape is very flexible and it is easy to bend around the cover it just takes a little time. Yes, the tape is just one long piece. Give it a try, you will find that it is not really that hard. Good Luck

I’ll put the over-under on this one at 22.5lbs.

I haven’t in the past as my seems to sit pretty snug to the rim. Psycholist posted a picture of his with electrical tape and it looks really solid. That alone has me thinking about taping for this year but so far I haven’t. If I did I would probably remove the Zipp stickers because the tape would sit on top of them a little. In talking with him (Bob / psycholist) at a race last year he mentioned that he’d gone to a HED disk (if memory serves) because running the cover on an 808 felt heavy in the hills. There’s surely a penalty with the weight but the overall gains that this setup gives me has me racing it regarless of the hills.
