At some point I always go back to memories of my old Litespeed frames and have the urge to build one up now and again. Remember those fugly LA Sherriff’s paint scheme Kestrel EMS forks they shipped out for a short time? Yea that’s what I’m talking about! I even put the neon green Profile clip on’s to match the fork with some yellow tape…Sonny Crockett wardrobe was all that was missing for a match. Oops wait I did have an equally ugly TYR mankini in neon yellow. Quill stem? All the better.
This may be exactly the opposite of what you are looking for since it is arguably the most advanced Ti roadie out there, but here is one of the versions of my Litespeed Archon T1
Was that custom? What is the head tube length on that? Looks a bit different and sticks up above the top tube quite a bit. Is that an abnormally long head tube or just the way Mark welds that particular model. Very sweet looking rig.
I always have my eye out for one of the older Ultimates, before ABG. They pop up on ebay once in a blue moon, but dang they go fast.
The two in front are ti frames – a TiCycles custom roadie with Softride beam, and a ti no-name tri bike (bought on this-here site’s classifieds). Sweet rides, both of them.
I just picked it up…turns out Brad Devaney of Litespeed has an entire closet of them. Fire sale price of $500.
Sorry…couldn’t resist…picked it up a few weeks ago…sometimes I just stare at it. If I ever do sell it you’ll be the first to hear about it.
You are in luck. I’m getting out of road tris and need to make room for a Cohutta 29er. PM me if you are interested in the T-1 If not I’ll put it up for sale here in about a week or so.
That Litespeed Archon Ti is perhaps the most beautiful bike I’ve seen. Without a doubt, it’s the best feeling ride of any bike (that I’ve ridden). Nice.
