Shoulder pain running post bike crash

I went over my handlebars 12 days ago. I have some road rash that has healed up and some cracked ribs/bruised ribs that are healing great (better than I thought). I was able to bike after the crash on trainer without much pain in the ribs. I felt really good yesterday and went for run. The ribs didn’t bother me too much but I ran super easy. However, I noticed my shoulder was aggravated from running. It was more a sharp pain vs. dull ache pain. It lingered post running. The shoulder hasn’t bother me much since crashing but really bothered me after running. I have full range of motion. I feel slight pain when lifting arm from the side with palm down. Any ideas? I’m going to do an easy swim later today but when I do the swimming motion out of water the shoulder doesn’t bother me.

Well my wife noticed a small bump in shoulder at need of collarbone compared to other side. It looks like I have a Seperated shoulder. I’m not in much pain and only feel it when running sand when I move certain ways. It sounds like I can’t really do much damage to it now?

And you have not been to the doctor?

I had a grade 3 plus separation a few years back - full tear of all ligaments. Dr. said if you can handle the pain, do whatever you want cuz you can’t make it any worse. But don’t crash it’ll hurt like hell

Just from your description - Yours (and I am certainly no doctor… you should go) is not a grade 3 and you could do a LOT more damage, in fact some say a grade 1 or 2 is worse than a 3 because you have to baby it.

GO to the doc. You’ll probably benefit from some PT.

I went and saw ortho. They took some X-rays and assessed my shoulder. No AC sprain, dislocation, broken bones, etc. He said it’s probably more the muscular and if it’s still bothering me in 2-3 months then maybe bursitis. He gave me the okay to train as long as my ribs let me
