I just moved to the DC area from Boston. I had surgery on a broken clavicle in May and am looking for a doc here for followup. Unfortunately, my doc in Boston had no referrals. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Try John Barry, MD. I think the office is in Glen Burnie.
Go see Dr. John Klimkiewicz at Gtown.

Commonwealth Orthopedics, various docs in Northern VA/DC. http://www.c-o-r.com/
If you’re willing to travel to Baltimore, there are two really good shoulder and knee docs. Dr. Craig Bennett and Dr. James Dreese. They’re very conservative in their approach and will use alternative therapies in order to avoid surgery if possible. Good luck.
Benjamin Shaffer MD

Dr Shaffer was the Orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine doc at Georgetown University when I played lacrosse there in the mid 90’s and was twice a patient of his.
Many years later, I am a physician living in NYC, but if I had a sports medicine or a surgical problem I would make to trip to see Dr Shaffer.
Just 90 minutes down the road in Richmond is one of the best shoulder guys in the country…and hes a good triathlete also. Part of the Long Course team going to Worlds in AUS later this year.
Hes a top notch Sports Med guy that specializes in shoulders. He is also the doc that put Conrad Stoltz back together after his injury a few months back.
His name is Doctor Marion Herring and here is a link to the practice he’s at. http://www.aocortho.com/centers/sports_medicine.aspx
Nothing better than a doc who understands our sport.
