Hello! I wasn’t really sure if/where I should introduce myself, but I figured it would be a good idea after signing up. So hey there. My name is Andrew, I’m from North Carolina, I’m a senior at North Carolina State University studying Political Science, Psychology, and German, and hoping to start a J.D./MPP program next year. I have a (short) background in distance running and enjoy racing short course tri’s. Glad to find this community of other passionate athletes from all places and walks of life.

Thanks! Yeah, it is a bit odd and doesn’t really fit with anything else I study. I guess I started learning it in High School and figured I might as well keep going and try to get fluent.
I’d never! I’m more likely to get lost and bike too much, given my abysmal directional skills.

Yards? I’m pretty sure we’re not even allowed to ask swimming questions until we get to 1:30 per 100 meters.
Helmets are very individual with how they interact with a person’s body shape. The Giro Advantage 2 is rare in that it tests well pretty consistently across a variety of people and their positions on the bike. Also, it’s cheap, reasonably well ventilated, and light.
The Aerohead is another safe if slightly more expensive option.
