Here’s the story, I love this bike (SLC-SL), but I love the S5 as well (and I don’t have one of those). I can’t have both. This bike had a scratch (crack) on the clear coat of the top tube. It was determined that it was most likely the handlebars hitting the top tube either when it was on the repair-stand, or when it was in my car being transported (before I got my roof rack). Anyway, I got it re-painted and “fixed”. The paint job turned out better than I ever imagined.
Edit: Ok… if you like it, and you want it, it’s a 58. Make me an offer and if it sounds good, I’ll sell it. I might even sell the whole bike (minus wheels - sub Easton EA90 and saddle sub Fizik Antares).
if it fits well, rides well and you like it then I say keep it for sure. I have considered selling my road bike a few times but then I ride it and realize how it just “fits” like an old pair of Levis. Sweet looking ride
I know what you mean… problem is, the newer, more aero, S5 fits like an older more comfortable pair of Levi’s. Ahhh decisions, decisions!

Depends on where you ride and what your goals are. The frame you have is 9 watts “slower”, but likely quite a bit lighter. If the road tips up much at all it may be a wash. Also even if for you the S% is faster, given the hit you will take selling an older repaired frame, and buying a S5 is likely to be pretty decent.
If it works out to be $900 to switch, which I suspect will be low, that works out to $100 per watt.
I have no goals except to have cool sh*t… I’d suspect the S5 would make me faster though if that’s what I was looking for as the geometry is better for me. I have this one set up to look good, I’m a bit longer and lower than my R5 and therefore is not as comfortable over longer rides.
