So I just got this email asking for volunteers to study this: Interested in the correlation between training, echocardiographic findings and race performance. I don’t know what it involves exactly but it will be done post race (IM Switzerland) and is apparently right near the finish area. Should I do this or not?
I’ll be able to compare my hematocrit levels to Floyd Landis…so I suppose that will be interesting:)
I saw them doing this kind of study a couple of years ago in Surich. They looked genuine. Post race? Why not. We can’t complain that scientists don’t provide good relevant data and when they want to test in / post race not help.
After a IM what better care to be in then a Doctor’s or scientist ? I guess either way they will be taking your vitals and track of them so thats a good thing.
